2.Coriander & Peas Soup – The Willow Bake Shop
For us, The Willow Bake Shop’s Coriander & Peas Soup is love at first spoon. We’ve gone back to the cafe oh-so-many times to grab this delicious soup. Every bit creamy, it’s perfect for this season. We love it because the subtle taste of coriander mixes quite well with peas. Apart from this one, The Willow Bake Shop does whip up several other soups that include Potato & Cheese, Beetroot, etc. but we recommend placing an order in advance via Instagram or phone call.

3.Thukpa – The Himalayan Cafe
Honestly, guys, there’s nothing quite like The Himalayan Cafe’s thukpa in Hyderabad. Reminding you of the mountains, this one comes loaded with meat or paneer, Bok Choi, and spring onions. It’s spicy for sure, and it’s filling enough for a meal. We recommend ordering this with Jhol Momos or Schezwan Momos as they’re perfect companions for this wicked dish!

4.Veg Clear Soup With Noodles & Wonton – China Bistro
Very little can go wrong with China Bistro’s Veg Clear Soup with Noodles & Wonton. Loaded with broccoli, mushroom, carrots, bok choi, and of course, wontons — this soup is just what that nasty cold demands. We like that the veggies add a certain crunch to the dish and the fact that it has both noodles and wontons makes it quite filling. If you’re looking for something spicier, go for Chicken Eight Treasure Soup.

5.Manchow Soup – Telangana Spice Kitchen
Well, well, how can we have a list of soups without Manchow Soup? Not for the faint-hearted, Telangana Spice Kitchen’s Manchow is quite spicy and peppery. And yet we add more pepper to it. We like that the soup has lots of chicken and veggies which makes it a filling meal. You can also try the Hot & Sour Soup from TSK, and it’s heavenly too!

6.Butternut Squash Soup – Soups & Salads
For years now, Soups & Salads has been our constant! We go back to them, time and again for healthy food and if you’re craving some creamy soups, we recommend their Butternut Squash Soup. This one comes with coconut milk and fresh herbs — just the right balance of flavours. If you’re looking for a meaty option, go for Moroccan Lamb Soup which is spicy too. Their Chilli Tofu goes quite well with both the soups.

7.Roasted Tomatoes & Garlic Broth – Sante Spa Cuisine
In all honesty, Sante Spa Cuisine was the last restaurant we visited before the pandemic. And guess what? We tried their Roasted Tomatoes & Garlic Broth and good lord, it was so aromatic and rejuvenating. Like most dishes by Sante Spa Cuisine. Loaded with micro herbs, this one is healthy and we like that hint of garlic. It’s a classic for a reason! While you’re at it, you can also try Moringa Prawn Soup or Creamy Asparagus Soup!

8.Veg Wonton Soup- Haiking Restaurant
If you’re from Hyderabad, you’re probably already familiar with this good old Chinese restaurant. It has been around for more than fifteen years and it’s definitely still one of our go-to Chinese restaurants. Order the veg wonton soup from here, especially amazing with some pepper on the days you’re down with a cold. Snuggle up in bed and enjoy this soup.
