This soup was in my mind ever since I had it one of the restaurant which we went are recently. That was in the first time. I heard and tasted this yummy goodness. It was a spicy at the same time it has lots of the flavors in it. The whole soup was a finished with a crispy noodle topping which are really made it. I wanted to the recreate this soup and post it here.So I made this one night and had it with a grilled chicken sandwich and the baked chicken nuggets. They were a delicious.

Man-chow soup is a popular soup in a Indian Chinese cuisine because of it is ease of the preparation and hot spicy flavor. It is available in a variety of the restaurants and street food carts. Although in the soup is named after Manchuria, it bears no resemblance to the cuisine of the region. Man-chow soup are originated in a Meghalaya.

Oil – 1 tbsp
▢Ginger – 1 tbsp minced
▢Garlic – 3 cloves minced
▢Spring onion – 2 chopped finely
▢Carrot – 1 shredded
▢Cabbage – 1 cup shredded
▢Celery – 1 stick shredded
▢Green Bell Pepper / Capsicum – 1 shredded
▢Soy Sauce – to taste
▢Red Chili Paste – to taste I took some dry red chilies and ground it with some water
▢Vinegar – to taste
▢Salt Sugar, Pepper to taste
▢Chicken – ¾ kg
▢Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
▢Corn Starch / Corn Flour – 2 tbsp
▢Egg – 2
▢For Garnishing:
▢Raw Noodles fried
▢Spring Onion – green part chopped finely


First make the chicken stock. Take a pressure cooker add a chicken along with some turmeric powder and salt. Add lots of the water and pressure cook it for a 5-6 whistle. Now let the pressure go all by itself. Open the pressure cooker and filter in the stock. Now remove the flesh from the chicken and set aside. Throw away the bones and reserve it for your dog.

▢Now heat oil in a deep pot. Add in a ginger, garlic, spring onion and saute for a couple of the mins.
▢Add in the shredded veggies and cook for a 5-10 mins till in the raw smell goes away.
▢Now add in a red chili paste, soy sauce, vinegar, salt, sugar, pepper and mix well.
▢Pour in the chicken stock in this and mix well. Bring this to a boil.
▢Now add in the cooked chicken and mix well.
▢Now mix a cornflour with a some cold water and pour that into the soup. Now the soup must be have
▢Now beat eggs and pour it is over in the soup while a mixing constantly. This will be make in the egg form into threads.
▢Switch off the flame and ladle in the soup into some bowls.
▢Sprinkle some fried noodles over it with a some spring onion.
▢Serve hot.


1.Take all your ingredients.

2.You need some shredded cabbage, carrot, celery and capsicum

4.Heat oil in a stock pot

5.add a ginger, garlic, spring onions

6.saute for a couple of the mins

7.add in the prepared vegetables

8.add in a soy sauce

11.salt and sugar

17.add in the cornstarch slurry

18.and mix well pour in the eggs and mix at the same time..THAT IS A HUBBY MIXING FOR ME.
